Optimiztiq (pronounced “optimistic”) is a rapper, songwriter, and producer whose music is a powerful blend of self-reflection, social commentary, and spiritual awakening. Hailing from Placerville, CA, Optimiztiq uses his voice and craft to provoke thought, spark change, and inspire others to take control of their mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Growing up in a musical household, Optimiztiq was deeply influenced by his father, a musician who often performed at home gatherings. By the time he was 8, he was already memorizing and rapping along to his favorite tracks, but it wasn’t until the passing of his father in 2005 that Optimiztiq truly began to explore his artistic potential. Using music as a means of processing grief and reconnecting with the world, he dove headfirst into music production and songwriting. Over the years, he built his own studio, honing his craft and dedicating himself to the healing power of music.

Optimiztiq’s career has seen a series of milestones, including his viral track “Finish and Connect,” which reached over 500,000 views on Facebook in 2014. The Sacramento Bee even called him out as “a white MC from the country kickin’ butt.” Over the course of his career, he has opened for legendary artists such as Snoop Dogg, Tech N9ne, Too $hort, and Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, touring across California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, and Colorado. He has also collaborated with former Strange Music artists, including Wrekonize, UBI, and J.L., expanding his creative network and musical reach.
