Scars is a profoundly personal reflection from an 8-day ayahuasca retreat with the Shipibo tribe in the heart of the Amazon jungle in Peru. Written in the wake of this life-altering experience, the song captures the raw emotional process of confronting buried trauma, dissolving the ego, and beginning the path to inner healing.

My verses paint my journey through anxiety, addiction, childhood abuse, and the survival mechanisms that became ingrained into my personality. Guided by the sacred plant medicine and the wisdom of the Shipibo healers, I unearth the pain that was long hidden in my subconscious and begin the process of release and transformation.
